PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:
Dr. Marzia Dulal has accomplished notable achievements over her career. Being awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship to study for a PhD in the UK was her greatest accomplishment. This award is granted to talented individuals who have the capacity to advance sustainable development and have a beneficial impact. Dr. Marzia’s work on e-textiles has gained significant attention for its ability to provide reliable health monitoring while being biodegradable, a major leap for both healthcare and sustainability.
Dr. Marzia is an Associate Professor at Bangladesh University of Textiles, where she has been a dedicated faculty member since 2017. She had previously worked at Primeasia University as a lecturer. Her industry experience includes her role as Assistant Planning Manager at Sharmin Group, where she gained hands-on professional skills.
Dr. Marzia is dedicated to promoting inclusion in STEM and enhancing professional growth. Her career successes have been motivated by her solid foundation in textile engineering management. Having worked in a variety of positions in academia and industry, she has accumulated the strategic insights required to succeed in teaching, research, and innovation. Particularly in the textile value chain and the development of sustainable practices, her work demonstrates a strong commitment to nurturing textile innovation, sharing knowledge, and making a significant impact.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE:
Dr. Marzia holds a strong academic record, having completed her Ph.D. at the University of the West of England, Bristol in the UK. Her academic excellence was recognized through the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship in the UK (PhD), awarded in 2021. She also has earned Prime minister's gold medal-2014 for her excellent academic performance. She had completed her both M.Sc and B.Sc in Textile Engineering with specialization in Textile Engineering Management from Bangladesh University of Textiles. She secured first position in the Textile Engineering Management department with CGPA 3.97 in M.Sc and CGPA 3.83 in B.Sc. She did her school and college from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College.
