Business Club organizes ARCHROMA TEXBIZ 2017

Archroma TexBiz 2017, the first ever business case competition focusing on the textile industry organized by BUTEX Business

Archroma TexBiz 2017, the first ever business case competition focusing on the textile industry organized by BUTEX Business Club was held on 15-16 April. 26 teams from 13 universities around the country registered for this case competition. Students came from business schools as well as engineering schools competed with each other to show their creativity, teamwork and spirit. TexBiz was also the first business case competition organized by BUTEX Business Club.
The first round was initiated with a workshop conducted by Md. Samid Razzak (Advisor, 10 Minute School) and Ishmam Chowdhury (Senior Executive, Grameenphone). 8 teams were selected for the final round held on 16 April. The chief guest of the grand finale was Prof. Dr. Shah Alimuzzaman Belal, Director of student welfare and Dean of the faculty of textile engineering.
Abdus Sobhan, CIP (Managing Director, Auko-Tex Group), Mohammad Abdul Matin Emon (Founder & CEO, Doctorola), Dr. Abbas Uddin Shiyak (Principal Engineering Consultant, REED Consulting Bangladesh LTD), Nabi Khan (Chief business officer, Color City LTD, DBL GROUP) were judges for the final round.
The champion of the competition was TEAM SWOT Cats from IUT, first runner up was Team Excalibur from Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka and second runner up was Team 11th Hour from Bangladesh University of Professionals.
The program was concluded with remarks from the chief guest, special guests and club moderator Arif Iqbal, lecturer of Textile Engineering Management department.
