On September 30, 2017, 4th session of Textile Research Conference(TRC) was held in the Daily Star conference center near Firmgate, Dhaka. About 50 students from several universities attended the conference. One of the main aims of the conference was to provide attendees with an opportunity to develop a range of skills relevant to the research process. Prof. Mashud Ahmed, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh University of Textiles was invited as the Chief Guest. Prof. Syed Fakhrul Hassan, Dean, School of Science & Engineering, Southeast University, Prof, Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro. Vice-Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President, Institution of Textile Engineers & Technologists (ITET) and Dr. Mohammad Forhad Hossain, Assistant Prof. & Departmental Head of Wet Processing Engineering, Bangladesh University of textiles were present as the Special Guests while Prof. Dr. Md. Zulhas Uddin, Dean, Faculty of Textile Chemical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Textiles was present as the chairman of the conference.
The speakers emphasized the importance of legal research for the students of textile engineering. Highlighting the absence of legal research in the curriculum of many textile universities of Bangladesh. They lauded the efforts for taking such an initiative to organize the conference. Posters & papers on different categories were called for the conference. Two posters from the research team (INQUISITOREM) of Bangladesh University of Textiles were submitted to the conference and both of the posters won the best poster awards in two different categories. It was really a great achievement for Bangladesh University of Textiles. This achievement has enhanced the dignity and prestige of our university. Congratulations for the researchers who have brought this honor for us. Hopefully it will add a new dimension to the way of research activities of BUTEX. Besides, the new researchers of BUTEX will be profoundly motivated.
