On Wednesday, October 31st, a seminar was organized by BUTEX Business Club named “Archroma presents Entrepreneurial Talk 2018” in Bangladesh University of Textiles Auditorium. In that seminar Senior Vice-President of BGMEA Faruk Hasan, CEO of Doctorola.com Mohammad Abdul Matin Emon, Managing Director of SAAD Knitwear Khairul Islam were present. Also Quamrul Ahsan CIP, Chairman of Ahsan Composite Ltd, was present on the seminar.
After taking the seats of the guests & keynote speakers, the program started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Speakers present at the event described their personal experience and provided the necessary guidance for becoming an entrepreneur. Mohammad Abdul Matin, CEO of Doctorola.com said in his speech, “To become an entrepreneur, a person must be dedicated, hardworking and must have visionary goals. To become a successful entrepreneur, we need to adopt some rules – taking initiative to solve the problem, finding the right opportunity, implementing the plan & learning from failure.”
Mr. Quamrul Ahsan CIP said, “Honesty, timeliness, dedication, perseverance and visionary targets make a man a successful. He stated honesty, timeliness and concentration to be the most important things to be an entrepreneur. Mr. Khairul Islam in his speech emphasized on the education of the entrepreneurs. He said that entrepreneurs must be thoughtful and wise and must have the capability to make decisions with intelligence. Entrepreneurs do not have any chance of retreating. In his speech Mr. Faruk Hassan talked about the future and potential of Bangladesh’s ready-made garments sector. He urged the entrepreneurs to emphasize on acquiring experience in the sector before taking initiative. Mr. Syed Ismail said that the main motto of success is to work hard for business.
The question-answer session was organized at the end of the program. The respected guests answered to each question of the students patiently. Assistant Professor of Dyes and Chemicals Engineering Department and the Technical Advisor of BUTEX Business Club, Dr. Abbas Uddin Shayik moderated the question-answer part of the seminar. The program ended with light refreshments.
